Frequently Asked Questions
Coloring Book Contest Questions:
How do I get a coloring book?
The coloring book will be handed out at the local grocery stores and schools in Springville, Spanish Fork, Salem, Payson, Santaquin and Genola. There will also be at some local sponsoring businesses. Additional coloring books will be availble at Lulu's Crafty Corner office at 10 South Main Streen, Payson. This is only while supplies last. Once they are all handed out, you will still be able to print them online.
Why aren't the coloring books being handed out at the Easter Egg Hunts this year?
Because Easter falls at the same time as Spring break, we will not be handing out coloring books during the Easter Egg Hunts. Too many families, including mine, will be out of town and too many of the participating businesses will be closed during this time. So this year, we are handing out the coloring books at grocery stores and other local businesses shortly after Spring break is over. Just watch our facebook page to know when we get them back from the printers.
What prizes are availble to win?
Each page of the coloring book lists the prize or prizes available to win on the front of the page with the design to color. Please know that you guys and gals are amazing artists and make it very hard for the local businesses to choose, so many of them give extra prizes to their favorites. So enter every page for the best chance to win!
When do the pages need to be handed in?
The coloring book entry deadline is Saturday, MAY 19th, 2018
What is the age cut off for the coloring contest?
The coloring book contest is open to all ages! So adults, get a coloring book for you as well! There are some great prizes for adults too. In the past we have had cash, Amazon gift cards, car care kits, gigantic teddy bears, lego sets and much more!
Can I print or copy the coloring book at home?
YES! The coloring book will be availble in full to print at home. You can choose a single page to print or the whole book. Just be sure to get all your informaition on the back of the page in case you win a prize!
Where are the winners announced?
The coloring book contest winners list is available at the Chalk It Up On Main Event at the Local Cheddar/Lulu's Crafty Corner booth on Saturday, June 2nd at the Chalk It Up At Main. You must come (or send a representative) to claim your prize between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm. We do not want to publish personal information about the artists online, since most of them are kids. Just come sometime during the day of the event to take part in the fun and see if you won a prize.
Do I need to be present to win?
Yes. Many of the prizes are very large or of great value and we do not want to hold onto them very long. If you can not make it to the Chalk It Up On Main, you can send a representative to claim your prize. Just let us know on your coloring page if someone else is going to pick up your prize for you. If the prize is not claimed at the Chalk It Up On Main, new winners will be chosen after the event.
What if I don't color very well?
That's okay! All skill levels and ages enter the contest. We've had bedazzled, glittered and perfectly shaded pages win and also, scribbles from very young artists win. The idea is to have fun in this community wide coloring contest and meet some great local busiensses.
